Sage Hayward Vineyards Nuance Aromatic Blend 2021

Southern Gulf Islands, British Columbia, CanadaSage Hayward Vineyards is a new family-owned estate found on Saturna, comprised of two brothers and their wives. They purchased and recovered mostly fallow vineyards on a property that Sea Star had owned, but had to sell. Tyler Cox is the winemaker, and Michael Bartier is a consultant. Nuance blends 74% pinot gris, 25% gewürztraminer, and 1% muscat, from Longfield and Falconridge vineyards. It was whole cluster pressed and fermented over 2 weeks in stainless, where it remained on lees for 5 months. Tight and sleek, with elderflower, lemon blossom, gooseberry on a dry, slight 11% frame. Certainly feels coastal and marine, with its crisp acidity. A pretty sipper for starters and fragrant seafood dishes.Tasted: 18 September 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
