Quails' Gate Dijon Clone Pinot Noir 2020

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Dijon Clone Pinot Noir is an exclusive selection of 828, 777, and 667 plantings first brought to Canada by founder Ben Stewart, along with numerous other Burgundian clones. At 15 years of age, the vines planted in sandy loams are coming into their own. The style is denser than most, with enough ripe tannins to age gracefully. Look for a red, black, and blue fruit nose with a subtle savoury dusting. The palate is firm, the tannins dense and sweet with cherry pie and brown spices. Drink or hold, this wine isn’t going anywhere. Take this to richer dishes like Asian spiced duck, venison, or a Moroccan tagine leg of a lamb.Tasted: 06 September 2022Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
