Fitz Reserve Blanc de Blancs Sparkling Wine 2018
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Reserve Blanc de Blancs is a chardonnay affair, always a good start for a sparkler. 2018 was an excellent year for the fruit at Greata Ranch, and this wine reflects it. The minimal dosage left a perfectly balanced bubble with a rich, creamy texture stuffed with flavour. At 36 months, it is the longest aged bubble in the house, and it’s reflected in the complexity and maturity of its flavours. Expect a green apple tightrope with a fleshy brioche underside that leads to a citrus and desert savoury sagebrush finish with a grind of sea salt. The finish is long and persistent, and pleasing to the last drop.
