Church & State Wines Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature 2018
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe inaugural Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature release is made with chardonnay from the Détente Vineyard on the Black Sage Bench. The wine is aged for 30 months on Vancouver Island at the Brentwood Bay winery and is finished essentially dry at 5 grams of sugar per litre. Expect a mix of enticing aromas mixing citrus, red apples, and seashore notes. The palate is similar, with a creamy texture, refined bubbles and a hazelnut and lemon finish. A great start and a bubble to watch. Serve now with warmed cheese sticks or freshly shucked oysters.Tasted: 31 August 2022Tasted by: Prices:

Church & State Wines Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature 2018
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis is the first Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature release from C&S, with chardonnay coming off their Détente vineyard on the Black Sage Bench, and the elevage taking place over 30 months at their Brentwood Bay, Vancouver Island facility. It was fermented in stainless, and left with 5 g/L RS. Pouring a pale yellow hue, this is amply saline, laced with roasted peanuts, anise, lemon peel, pith, and crisp red apple. There's an ample lees cushion offset by some pithy acidity, making this a food-friendly choice for enjoying now.Tasted: 05 September 2022Tasted by: Prices:
