Carpineto Chianti Classico Riserva 2017

Tuscany, ItalyThe Carpineto Chianti Classico Riserva is aged 12 months in Slavonian and French oak, and has now been in bottle for another four years, giving it some maturity and harmony. The palate is a juicy dark mix of black plums and cherries with leather and dried herbs, but the finish remains fruity and dense with a refined blend of tannin and fruit. So savoury and silky, and it is just beginning to hit its plateau. It is the perfect dinner wine for more decadent menu items like pork, beef, or mushrooms.
