Tuscany, ItalyThe Gran Selezion (the best wine of the year made at the estate) comes off a cool, 2-hectare site in Greve in Chianti. 2015 was a warm year yielding an atypical Chianti Classico with a dark colour and a rich, almost luscious structure. Look for Bing cherries over a licorice, forest floor undercurrent, and even after seven years, there is a hint of oak lingering in the finish. This New World vintage will be widely admired outside of Europe, and it clearly has time in the bottle ahead of it. Serve this with any rich dish containing mushrooms.Tasted: 12 August 2022Tasted by: Prices:

Tuscany, ItalyMade from estate sangiovese from a meagre two hectare cru, this Chianti Classico Gran Selezione shows a ripe, luscious nose of dark cherries layered with perfumed florals, fresh herbs, and licorice, with a hint of vanillin and oak spices coming from 18 months of ageing in French oak. Finely built yet firm tannins are balanced by vibrant acidity, resulting in a wine that's densely concentrated yet beautifully balanced with excellent length and power.Tasted: 05 September 2022Tasted by: Prices:
