Fronsac, Libourne, Bordeaux, FranceThis blend of merlot (86%) and cabernet franc (14%) leads with a fresh, bright-fruited nose of dark cherries and raspberries, along with a dusting of oak spices, fresh herbs, and cedar. On the palate, it's medium bodied and lively, with fine grained, sculpted tannins that speak to the deft winemaking of the now deceased Patrick Leon, former wine director of Château Mouton Rothschild. Perfect now with French bistro fare, but it certainly has the complexity and fruit concentration to improve with a few more years in the cellar. Recommended.Tasted: 11 August 2022Tasted by: Prices:

Fronsac, Libourne, Bordeaux, FranceA merlot dominant (86%) blend with some cabernet franc (14%), this Fronsac opens with earthy forest floor and subtle oak spices along with red and black berry aromas. On the palate, it offers more concentrated fruit framed by suave tannins and vibrant acidity. About 6 years of age at this point, it’s showing some charming savoury saline quality but further cellaring will offer more complexity thanks to its well-built structure.Tasted: 24 September 2022Tasted by: Prices:
