Russian River, Sonoma County, California, United StatesThis is classic Russian River chardonnay based on the richness of the nose and palate, but in recent years Hobbs has been able to lean it out a bit, making it far more interesting to drink the whole bottle. Peaches and honeysuckle give it a very inviting entry, but there is a citrus undercurrent (remember the morning fog), and spicy, savoury notes bringing balance to the finish.
