Douro Valley, Northern Portugal, PortugalFrom 70-100 year old vines rooted in the schist soils of Vale de Mendiz, this blend of Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and others was fermented with stems in granite lagares, finishing off in French barriques where it rests for 15 months. Dusky purple florals scent a stony, schistous palate, with smoked plum, rockrose, wild blueberry, thorns across a fleshy, medium+, textural palate.
