Piedmont, ItalyHic et Nunc is from from the Latin 'Here and Now', and devoted to making wines from their home in Monferrato, in northwestern Italy's Piemonte. Of their 100 hectares of arable lands, woods and poplar groves, 20 hectares are dedicated to local vines, and the are entirely estate, organically managed, on clay limestone soils. This traditional method fizz of Barbera and Cortese had 24 months on lees before being disgorged with 0 dosage. Super salty and lean, with tight, nervous acidity driving green apple, anise, lemon pith down a racy, chalky palate. This positively buzzes with energy and shines with intent.
