The 1991 vines are planted over a mix of clay, silt, and stones. 2020 is certified organic, and at 13.5 percent, it has a lovely balanced vibe. Look for fresh plummy fruit with a swirl of spicy black raspberry and a dry, earthy, soya finish. The finish is shorter than I would like for the price, but the wine is otherwise solid. This was native fermented with one year in French oak. Fleshy dark plums, black raspberry rule the medium bodied palate, with a tart blackcurrant lift, and furry tannins to frame.
