Vinho Verde, Northern Portugal, PortugalOn the hottest day of the year, I tasted this Northern Portugal red with a chill on the bottle, and I loved it. The definition of juicy and brambly hits the palate with light feet and plenty of acidity, with a mysterious inky dark purple colour. Barbecue pork Chinese style would be perfect or, even more straightforward, a pulled pork sandwich. It is fun but serve it chilled.
