Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Mayhem ethos is fun, and this sauvignon delivers. The fruit is Naramata, and the secret is six months' lees time to build a bit of weight and texture, and 87 percent older puncheons to offset the remaining new oak barriques it is aged in. Expect a refreshing mix of passionfruit and grapefruit streaked with an orange tone and sagebrush. Treve gets it right: in a Marlborough way, but distinctly BC.
