South Eastern Australia, AustraliaYellow Tail Pure Bright Chardonnay has been dialled back in alcohol and residual sugar. The claim is 110 calories per glass, at 9.5% alcohol. Messing around with grape juice to create a bottle of wine by numbers is never good, but I suppose you could say all wines are manipulated to some extent, so what have we here? The nose is tropical, pitching pineapple and ripe canteloupe that spills onto a vanilla and green melon palate that finishes short and low-alcohol flat.
