Red Horses Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2019
Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaNothing but respect for people who can ripen cabernet sauvignon in BC, but new French oak for 25 months seems a bit much for 49 degree north fruit. That said, this Reserve is a big step up on the regular label this year, showing more complex and developed fruit with oak char, tobacco, and cedar notes throughout. Back plums, spice, and blackcurrant are in abundance and still relatively youthful. Consider cellaring this for two to four more years and give it a chance to stretch its legs.Tasted: 12 April 2022Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $36.75 | 750ml | winery online/direct |
