Montagne de Reims, Champagne, FranceFounded in 1947 under Producteurs des Grands Crus de Champagne, Palmer & Co is one of Champagne's high-quality co-ops. The Brut Réserve is a Palmer signature made from a selection of Premier and Grand Crus vines grown in Montagne de Reims. A significant proportion of reserve wine (25-35%) is responsible for building out the rare texture at this level of champagne. The nose is lovely, pitching citrus, white fruits and apricots with a subtle hazelnut and fresh pastries undercurrent. The palate is a study in harmony where lemons, ripe red apples, and bright acidity meet to complement each other. The blend is chardonnay 50-55%, pinot noir 35-40%, and pinot meunier 10-15%. The wine is aged 36-48 months, a testament to the care taken with this label. It gets a dosage of 8 g/l from the reserve collection at disgorgement.Tasted: 02 November 2024Tasted by: Prices:
Montagne de Reims, Champagne, FranceFounded in 1947 under the name Producteurs des Grands Crus de Champagne, Palmer & Co is one of Champagne's best quality-focused co.ops. Chardonnay from 1er Cru villages in Montagne de Reims' Trépail and Villers-Marmery makes up this Bdb, based on the 2016 vintage. This bottle was disgorged in January 2022 with 6.5 g/L. Impressively fresh and zippy, with zesty lemon, crunchy green apple, and river stones all skipping along the palate with energy through a saline finish. A delight to find such a smart co.op Champagne.Tasted: 09 November 2023Tasted by: Prices:
