Cascina Galarin Crocevia Monferrato Rosso 2018

Piedmont, ItalyCastagnole delle Lanze is south of Piemonte, between Lange and Monferrato, on calcareous clay hills between 300-380m. This organic nebbiolo was vinified over two weeks in wood vats, with 30 days maceration. The wine remains in wood for two years before being bottled unfiltered, based on the lunar cycle. Tight and nimble with high strung acidity streaming crushed cherry, dried roses, dried rosemary, and ample flake salts. Tannins are long and finely firm, framing this graceful wine through a lingering saline finish. Drinking well now, and over the short term, ideally with wild mushroom / truffle dishes.Tasted: 02 April 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
