Alsace, FrancePouring a deep, hazy peach orange hue, this is 50% Pinot Gris, 40% Gewürztraminer, 10% Riesling, macerated for 8 months in amphora on skins, with an additional 3 months in amphora without skins. This was bottled without filtration or sulphur. Heady and intense, with a wonderful fine texture and lightness of being, this dry orange wine streams bergamot, honeysuckle, wax, ash, and ample broken stoney salts long on the palate, finishing with a lingering honeysuckle and saline wash on a warming finish (15% is felt).
