Passato Barbera d'Alba 2020

Piedmont, ItalyThe Bosio family has lived in Langhe's hills since the 17th century, making wine and growing grapes for generations. This organic big boy barbera comes from Canale's calcareous clays, at 300m. After 10 days of skin contact, this was vinified in stainless before 6 months in 5000L Slavonian oak. Full and dense on the 15.5% palate, with ripe blackberry, gutsy black plum, and black cherry jam, this has soft, plush tannins to house to a spiced finish. A wine well suited to shepherd's pie or meatloaf.Tasted: 04 March 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
