Valle de Uco, Tunuyán, Central Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaLa Posta Pizzella is Altamira malbec grown at 925 metres, with ten months in a 50/50 mix of stainless steel and French oak (50 percent new, the remainder second and third use barrels). The texture is fine, almost silky, and the fruit is a mix of blackberry and boysenberry, with spicy branchy notes in the finish. An uncomplicated red for most beef dishes or a favourite hard cheese.
