Chain Reaction Tailwind Pinot Gris 2020

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaChain Reaction is a relatively new virtual winery, based on the Naramata Bench, owned by Joel and Linda Chamaschuk, and named for their love of cycling. Originally from the Lower Mainland, they've been enjoying BC wine since 1991, and finally decided to become part of the industry, purchasing an orchard on the Bench, and planting their first vineyard in 2019. Well-known winemaker Dwight Sick oversees the wines, made at nearby Moraine Winery. Off their estate McMillan vineyard, this gris was whole bunch pressed, and fermented and aged on lees in stainless for 4 months. There's a lovely freshness to this younger gris, with tight pear, white peach, gooseberry wrapped with a lime sherbet brace. There's a little warmth on the spiced finish, but nothing that your South Asian take out couldn't meet.Tasted: 17 March 2022Tasted by: Prices:
