Riccardo Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Dry 2020

Veneto, ItalyThe Fornasier family began harvesting grapes in the late 1800s, and began vinification in 1918 with the return of Signore Giuseppe from World War I. Ever since then, he and his family have been producing wine. This glera comes from Valdobbiadene, and spent 40 days in autoclaves. It was dosed with 21.5 g/L. The dosage is apparent on the round, creamy, weighted palate, with baked red apple, caramel, and overripe peach. This is a bit too much for easy drinking, and best taken well chilled with a custard fruit dessert.Tasted: 24 February 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
