Phantom Creek Estates Riesling 2019
East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe red wines at Phantom Creek get a lot of press, and rightly so, but the white wines are no less impressive, as demonstrated by this riesling made from Okanagan Falls fruit. It is decidedly less crisp than the 2017 or even the 2018, but it comes with a fragrant, exotic, Alsace style. It is aged in a mix of stainless steel and neutral barrels to preserve the authentic flavours of dry white peach with potent extract. Yellow fruits, honeysuckle, and dried pears persist throughout the palate.
