Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaLook for lifted ripe fruit that wafts from the glass, mixing 60/40 malbec and merlot. While malbec has long disappeared from most Bordeaux blends, it works well here to counter some of the fat and flesh the merlot brings to this south Okanagan red. The finish is fresh and bright, mixing floral and savoury tones, adding complexity and style to the wine. Many will want to drink this wine now, but it has a long future ahead.
