La Farra Rive di Farra di Soligo Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Extra Brut 2020

Veneto, ItalyThe La Farra estate was established in 1997 by brothers Innocente and Guido Nardi, following in the footsteps of their family’s long winemaking history. Located in in Farra di Soligo, in the heart of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG, the 20 hectares of vineyards also stretch into the municipalities of Pieve di Soligo, Follina and San Pietro di Feletto. This glera comes from the Rive (single vineyard) di Farra di Soligo at 220-330m, and its clay/limestone soils. It spent 3 months on lees in the autoclaves, before 3 more months in bottle prior to release. It was dosed with 5 g/L RS. Mouthfilling, with pear skin, peach blossom, and grapefruit pith, all held at a smart dosage, allowing the fruit to shine through the earthy / yeasty finish. This is a stylish and contemporary style, and quite welcoming.Tasted: 24 February 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
