British Columbia, CanadaThe Premier Syrah comes off 30+ year old vines at Knollvine Vineyard in Okanagan Falls. As I discovered last year, the style is understated, sipping easy, and delivering a pleasant, balanced, peppery ripe red. The style is more Barossa than Rhone, but many will be attracted to its soft, floral, black fruit and spicy oak after its 10 month stay in French oak.
