Piedmont, ItalyFrom a single 9.8 acre calcareous vineyard in Pajé, one of the crus of Barbaresco, this nebbiolo was fermented in stainless and aged in large oak casks for 36 months, prior to 6 more months in bottle prior to release. This is a typecast barbaresco, primed for drinking now, with a taut, grippy, Nebbiolo frame housing black cherry, tart raspberry, summer strawberry along a lean frame. Tannins are still fierce, even after 5 years and a day's opening, and best met with herbed lamb and/or hearty mushroom dishes.Tasted: 01 January 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
