Rheingau, GermanyOne of Germany’s top riesling producers, Johannes Leitz, has brought his considerable expertise to non-alcoholic wines. Riesling is the flagship grape of Leitz, and he employs his youngest vines to create a fresh, light and bright sparkler with a clean fruity style. It’s the perfect mix of juicy, crisp green apple fruit drizzled in citrus and a reasonably small if light, mousse. Hard to find anything to complain about with this offering if no alcohol is in the equation. We have a variety of fresh shellfish on the west coast that would be suitable matches here.
