Inniskillin Discovery Series Gamay Noir 2020
Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaFrom an incredibly heavy bottle, this gamay comes from various vineyards across Niagara. After a warm ferment, this rested in new and older French barrels for 6 months, prior to a tightening stint in stainless before bottling. The wood is evident, with a dusting of baking spice and cedar seasoning baked cherry, ripe raspberry on a plumped palate. Sticky tannins pen in the side of this fuller, darker gamay, finishing with a pasty note.
