Frey-Sohler Crémant d'Alsace Extra Brut 2012

Alsace, FranceThese riesling grapes come from gravelled, sandy soils, and after a stainless ferment, this spent 100 months aging on lees prior to disgorgement. This certainly shows extended time on lees, with a burnished lime note running through subtle honeycomb, pear skin on the dry palate. Riesling's characteristic vibrant acidity backbones this crémant, pushing it through the stony finish. Quite distinct, try pairing with smoked fish or paté.Tasted: 12 January 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
