Controcorrente Vermouth Rosso NV
Veneto, ItalyControcorrente translates as 'against the mainstream' in Italian. This is a boutique vermouth company, using organic Veneto grapes and Mediterranean botanicals. This comes from Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes, imbued with thyme, helichrysum, and rhubarb. Very potent, with ample scrubby herbaceous spice, resin, wild plum and perfumed cherry. The ample brown cast sugar is offset by a beam of acidity, leading this to a lingering spiced finish.
