Tselepos Blanc de Gris 2020

Peloponnese, GreeceYiannis Tselepos was born in Pafos on the island of Cyprus. He studied Oenology at the University of Dijon in France, before moving to Arcadia in the Peloponnese. Together with his wife Amalia, Yiannis established Domaine Tselepos in 1989. The domaine has been one of the pioneers who helped establish and bring to prominence to Moschofilero, and his name is closely associated with the Greek Wine Renaissance of today. From a single vineyard at 750m in the hilly clay soils of Peloponnese's Perpatiara, this moschofilero was cold soaked for 10 hours prior to fermentation, with one third seeing stainless, and the remainder divided between amphorae and foudres. Post ferment, the wine rested on lees for 4 months prior to blending and bottling. Florality meets texture, savoury meets tropical, with perfumed lime blossoms, heady anise, pink grapefruit, pear, lemon verbena, and fine exotic spice along a slick, svelte palate. This finishes dry with a lingering salinity and lime pith, encouraging partnering with Thai green curry.Tasted: 04 December 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
