Gray Monk Monk's Blend 2020

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis is the inaugural vintage of Monk's Blend, a blend of 73% syrah and 27% cabernet sauvignon from the south Okanagan (70%) and Similkameen (30%). Each was oak aged separately for 8 months, in 70% American and 30% French oak, and blended just before bottling. Spiced forest berries, perfumed musk, cracked peppercorns and wood spicing fill the mouthfulling, smooth red, with slicked tannins holding this to a peppery finish. A suitable young red to crack now with autumn stews.Tasted: 03 December 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
