Chronos Sémillon 2020

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis sémillon was whole bunch pressed before fermenting in 54 percent stainless steel and 46 percent in neutral French oak barrels (one-fifth new). The barrel portion went through full malolactic conversion, adding a richer character to the wine to balance the crisper stainless steel portion. The wine is young and, frankly, a bit backward at this point. Look for green fruit characters mixed with fresh yellow apples and pears covered in light lees. It will put on weight over the next two years and fill out, but you can serve it now as a fresher edition with sushi rolls, vegetarian pizzas, or roasted root vegetables.Tasted: 04 November 2021Tasted by: Prices:
