Ceretto Brunate Barolo 2015
Barolo, Cuneo, Piedmont, ItalyFrom the historic Brunate vineyard, a reference point for La Morra, this cuvée comes from the Ceretto family's 5.5 hectares of vineyards. After aging in 300L French oak (10% new) for 1 year, this went into Austrian oak casks for 2 additional years. From the powerful 2015 vintage, this is showing open and engaging wild cherry, perfumed raspberry, subtle wild rosemary, and ample stony spice throughout the silken, yet structured palate. Tannins are firm, and lean, and acidity is lofted and effortless through the lingering saline finish. For all its power, this remains very finessed and elegant. Drinking beautifully now, with time ahead.Tasted: 06 December 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:BC | $220.00 | 750ml | private wine shops |
