Viña San Pedro 1865 Tayú Pinot Noir 2019

ChileThis is the second version of Tayú 1865, the wine that San Pedro makes in collaboration with the Mapuche community of Buchahueico in the town of Purén, at the foot of the Nahuelbuta Mountain Range in Southern Chile's Malleco Valley. The project began in 2015 as a way to forge a successful relationship with the local Mapuche people. Tayu means "ours" in Mapudungun. This mix of Bourgogne clones yields a darker pinot, with fleshy wild plum, fleshy blackberry, cherry, scrubby wild herbs, and sarsaparilla which finish with an alluring pink peppercorn note. Acidity is easily lofted by latitude, leaving this a bright 12.5%.Tasted: 10 November 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
