Hawkes Bay, North Island, New ZealandFrom Hawke's Bay's acclaimed Bridge Pa Triangle, and The Howell Vineyard, this cab franc was destemmed with 30% whole berries, and fermented in stainless over 3 weeks before heading into tight grain French barrels (13% new) for one year. Ripe plum, cherry, and mulled raspberry rule the soft palate, seasoned with cinnamon and nutmeg. Tannins are well worn and absorbed into the fruit at this stage, taking it to a browning finish.
