Bruno Giacosa Barbaresco 1998
Piedmont, ItalyFrom the cellar. Orange brick hued, this carries a bloody, ferrous note that streaks through the medium body, drawing wild plum, dried cherry, fallen leaves, bergamot, dried wildflowers, with ample mineral salts through the finish. Tannins are fine and lightly sueded, while acidity is astoundingly bright, holding this textural wine through a lingering ferrous finish. Decant or allow this to open and stretch its legs. Current vintage (2017) is $335 / bottle in Ontario.Tasted: 08 November 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:ON | $335.00 | 750ml | LCBO |
