Oltrepò Pavese, Lombardy, ItalyFrom calcareous clay slopes in the San Damiano al Colle district of Oltrepò Pavese, and vines up to 25 years, this was fermented and aged for 3 months in stainless before bottling in the distinctive squat bottle. Baked raspberry, strawberry jam, milk chocolate, hay, fine spice lead this medium+ red, with soft, sticky tannins and a pillowy soft palate.
