Loire, FranceThis sauvignon blanc comes off limestone kimmeridgian marls from the oldest vines in the 2.3-ha Champs de Cri lieu dit, near the hamlet of Les Loges. It was native fermented in small barrel (15% new), where it spent 12 months on lees prior to bottling. Layered and complexed with broken stones, lemon pith and peel, white cherry, white honey, and lees, this fuller white floods the palate with a brace of acidity, and is amply seasoned with salinity and mineral salts.
