Craggy Range Te Kahu 2018
Gimblett Gravels, Hawkes Bay, North Island, New ZealandCool climate, but from a warm site, Te Kahu opens with spicy, red fruit. The palate is all about plums and blueberry. The palate textures follow the Craggy style focused on elegance and balance throughout the wine. The blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon, malbec, cabernet franc, and petit verdot changes every year to best maintain the style. Almost claret-like, so go with roasted meats or a rich winter vegetable casserole. Te Kahu means "the cloak," referring to the mist surrounding the winery.Tasted: 18 October 2021Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $34.99 | 750ml | select private retailers |
