Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe first Kobau Vineyard Cabernet Franc opens with smoked dark fruit. It has the south Okanagan version of garrigue, but most of it sits under the mocha, black fruit under a campfire sheen that runs through the finish. The smoke stands out when you taste this in a lineup of various vintages, but I’m guessing some will be okay with the weight and heft of this wine.
