Michel Prunier et Fille Auxey-Duresses 1er Cru Clos du Val 2018
Côte de Beaune, Côte d'Or, Burgundy, FranceFrom very stony, south facing calcareous soils and 52 year old vines, this was 50% whole bunch, fermented in stainless before resting in barrels (25% new) with bâtonnage for 15 months. Quite fragrant, with perfumed cherries, black cherries, red currants, and plums filling the mouth, chiseled by fine, firm tannins which take this to a lingering buzzy finish. The soils are quite present here, imbuing this finessed and elegant wine with a persistant vibrancy. Drinking very well know, and with some time ahead in cellar.Tasted: 21 September 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:ON | $72.95 | 750ml | consignment |
