Hester Creek Pinot Blanc 2020
Golden Mile Bench, Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe pinot blanc is all Golden Mile Bench estate primarily from Block 4 of the original historic vineyard planted in 1968. There is a small addition of clone 54 from Alasace planted in 1997/98 at Block 9. After a four-day cold soak, the fruit is fermented for 27 days at 13°C, then racked to stainless for seven more months on its fine lees. The nose is a lemon and apple affair that spills across the palate. Unoaked and dry, it finishes clean and refreshing with a touch of lime. Perfect for steamed mussels.
