Garzón Viognier de Corte 2021
Garzón, Maldonado, San José, UruguayOne of the good things about living in BC under the monopoly wholesale arm of the BCLDB buyers is we generally get wines (if there are any left) months behind the rest of the world. So, we are less affected by supply chain interruptions. You can expect a significant shortage of wine from all over the world for many pandemic-related reasons, so when you find a wine like this Uruguayan white, you should act quickly. Who knows if the next vintage will make it to B.C. The attraction of this stainless-steel fermented viognier is its simplicity and purity of fruit. Citrus, mineral flavours and styling make it fun to drink and food-friendly, with a floral nose and refreshing pear notes. Less flashy, more elegant is a style I like a lot, all at a modest 12.5 percent alcohol.Tasted: 09 September 2021Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $19.99 | 750ml | BCLS |
