Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe last time I tasted this wine, in July 2021, it had 15 months in used puncheons and barriques. This latest 2019 release, of course another experiment, spent 26 months in wood. To recap its story, this blends 80% roussanne and 20% marsanne from the sustainably farmed Webster Vineyard in Osoyoos. It was whole berry native fermented and macerated for 4 months on stainless before heading to barrel. A clear, golden hue, this draws apricot, peach, pear skin along a sleek, tightly stencilled, light bodied palate, through a lightly saline, very fresh, bitter orange / astringent orange finish. There seems much less of the grapes evident here, and more of the style.Tasted: 16 August 2022Tasted by: Prices:

Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAs with the 2018, this blends roussanne and marsanne from the sustainably farmed Webster Vineyard in Osoyoos, though this year the proportions are 80/20. This was whole berry native fermented and macerated for 4 months on stainless, before 15 months' rest in used puncheons and barriques. Next to the heady, textural 2018, this seems light and breezy in comparison. Bergamot-gripped, the sleek palate buzzes with white peach, honeydew, crunchy honeycrisp apple, and subtle ginger bark spicing, which lingers on the saline finish. This is a lighter, fresher orange drinking smartly right now.Tasted: 09 July 2021Tasted by: Prices:
