Martin's Lane Dehart Vineyard Pinot Noir 2016

East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom East Kelowna's organically farmed Dehart Vineyard, this pinot was planted in 2008 at 430-470m on glacial silts over gravel. This is from clones 777 and 667, native cofermented in concrete, with 45% whole clusters and a 32 day maceration prior to resting 17 months in French and Austrian extra tight grained oak. Bright and lifted, with raspberry, cherry, wild strawberry skipping along the slender palate (even for 14.5%), wrapped with long, fine tannins, and finishing with a light peppery, pencil shavings kiss. Lots of energy here in this polished, fresh pinot, drinking beautifully now, and with time ahead.Tasted: 08 August 2021Tasted by: Prices:
