Haywire Pinot Noir Secrest Mountain Vineyard 2019

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSecrest Mountain Vineyard is a high altitude Okanagan site that sits over calcium carbonate laced alluvial and gravelled soils, all organically farmed. Winemaker Matt Dumayne destems the fruit and ferments it wild in concrete tanks where it ages for approximately ten months. The nose is aromatic with a rush of juicy, stemmy red and black fruit with a rich texture sporting a touch of grippy tannins, mocha and some cool spicing. It needs another two to three years to better integrate its fruit and tannins but should be a standout, naturally-made northern pinot.Tasted: 25 May 2021Tasted by: Prices:
