Château Briot 2016
Bordeaux, FranceThis is quite a lifted, savoury Bordeaux rouge that shows a reductive note upon first opening. Give it a quick splash in the decanter, and you'll find soft cherry alongside spicy herbs, green peppercorn, and cedar. Medium-bodied and lacking in concentration, grainy tannins lend just a touch of grip to the finish. This will go nicely with steak au poivre.Tasted: 11 July 2021Tasted by: Geoffrey Moss MWPrices:BC | $23.49 | 750ml | estimated retail in select private wine shops |
