East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaWow, wow, wow. This is the best I have seen from Sperling, from fruit grown on the family's historic and limestone-laced Kelowna vineyard. It is fermented and aged in large format French oak barrels, barely noticeable on the palate, although the ratio of wood to juice appears to have worked its magic on the wine. The salty lemon flavours are heaven, and the balance is even better. It goes on forever with a perfect dusting of savoury Okanagan to set it apart from most anything else with chardonnay on the label. Complex and sophisticated, it's as good as anything in the country.Tasted: 05 June 2021Tasted by: Prices:
East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom the Sperling family's historic and limestone-laced Kelowna vineyard, this chardonnay is fermented and aged in larger French barrels. Lemon curd, ripe pear, yellow apple, white asparagus is dusted with fine spice and fills a round, softer palate, lit with a fine shimmer that lingers on the finish. Subtle and smart, drinking well now.Tasted: 12 June 2021Tasted by: Prices:
